The Champaign County Forest Preserve District is planning its third annual River to Rail Ride on September 24, 2016 at Middle Fork River Forest Preserve in Penfield. The ride includes three routes, with distances of approximately 15, 32, and 67 miles. All three routes begin and end at the forest preserve. Bike Fleet and Trailer Project Update
We raised over $7,000 during Bike Month (May 2016) for our Youth Bicycle Education Fund towards our goal of $25,000. Thanks cyclists! Online donations can be made here.
Our 217 Bike Crew is made up of those interested in helping younger cyclists ride safely and ride more.
We want to purchase Bike Friday OSATA bicycles for our Youth Bike Safety Classes and Events. These amazing bikes adjust for riders between 4’6″ and 6’4″ in height. (That covers about everyone from 4th grade to high school.) And we hope to buy a trailer like this one pictured to store and transport these bikes in.
You can donate to our Bike Month 2016 Youth Bicycle Education Project here. Thanks!
